Three Movie Loading Modes:

The moment I imported a Blu-ray file into Leawo Blu-ray Ripper, I was asked to select a movie loading mode from three preset movie loading modes: Full Movie, Main Movie, and Custom Mode.  In order to make clear what these three modes are, I tried them one by one. When I selected Full Movie mode, all titles or chapters of Blu-ray/DVD disc/folder were loaded into the program while only one title or chapter was loaded under Main Movie mode (by default the longest one is selected), and I was allowed to choose desired title(s) or chapter(s) at will under Custom Mode.

Five Video Editing Features:

After the loading of Blu-ray or DVD file, I am able to edit the source content for customized output content via the internal video editor where five video editing features are provided. I can trim video size to get rid of boring parts of the video, add text or image watermark upon video, crop video to remove unwanted black region, adjust video effect, and create 3D video.

Internal Video Player:

Leawo Blu-ray Ripper allows us to select subtitle and audio track for output file. We can get an instant preview of the output file with the internal video player. All settings (trimming, watermark, cropping, effect, and 3D) together with subtitle and audio track chosen can be previewed. Therefore, before ripping, we can rest assured that we would get exactly what we want. During playback, we can take screenshot as well.

Video Clips Merger:

Leawo Blu-ray Ripper allows us to merge all files into one. There are usually more than one titles or chapters within a Blu-ray or DVD disc or folder. For convenience, we can merge all titles into one single file. During merging video clips, we can arrange the order of each video clip as well. Of course, we can separate them to the original status if we want.

Availability:

I got this Blu-ray ripping program from Leawo Software’s official website. My computer is running Windows operating system, so I downloaded and installed the Windows version of Leawo Blu-ray Ripper on my PC to have a free trail. Though I could only convert 5-minute content with the trial version, I found this program good for me. Therefore I spent $44.95 to get a one-year validity version for unlimited features. The lifetime version is available as well, but costs more of course. The Mac version namely Leawo Blu-ray Ripper for Mac is designed for some of us whose computers are running on Mac OS X.

Summary:

After frequently using the program, I can say that Leawo Blu-ray Ripper is an eligible Blu-ray ripping program for me to handle Blu-ray/DVD conversion issue. With it, I can watch Blu-ray or DVD content on my portable devices without quality loss. I understand that no program is entirely perfect. Although the program has some drawbacks, it is still my No. 1 choice when I need to rip and convert Blu-ray/DVD to video formats.
